Job Description
This position will be responsible for, but not limited to the following essential duties and responsibilities:
Managing and administering VISCs day-to-day operations
Supervising VISCs staff in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
Ensuring VISCs focus on providing excellent customer service
Supervising and maintaining VISCs adherence to budget guidelines
Overseeing VISCs marketing-related activities
Supervising and maintaining VISCs adherence to budget guidelines, as well as having a basic understanding of the companys financial operations
Interfacing with and reporting to VISCs Board of Directors at periodic meetings of the Board, and as otherwise necessary to keep the Board informed of material information pertaining to VISCs operations
Interfacing with and reporting to the Executive Director of the CVMA as necessary to keep the latter informed of material information pertaining to VISCs operations
Providing leadership to support VISCs strategic plan and long-term goals
Developing and maintaining relationships with relevant insurance carriers
Overseeing compliance with legal and regulatory requirements attending to VISCs provision of insurance brokerage services
Performing all other tasks as may be reasonably needed to carry out the above-listed duties, and those reasonably assigned from time to time by VISCs Board of Directors
Years of Related Professional Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of Property & Casualty and/or Health & Life-related experience in a brokerage environment
5 years of agency management experience
Educational/Position Requirements:
Active California Property & Casualty Insurance License and/or Health & Life Insurance License required
Computer/Software/Technical Applications:
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Familiarity with Applied EPIC
Languages:
Ability to speak and comprehend English, the primary language used in the workplace; ability to speak and/or comprehend other languages utilized by our patients is a plus.
Travel Required:
Minimal, consisting mostly of in-state travel to CVMA conferences and other VISC-sponsored events

Full Time
Rate of Pay:
$155,000 - $175,000 per year. This position is eligible for a one-time sign-on bonus of $25,000.
