  • Partner closely with the audience development team to understand analytics, communicate goals, and strategize to sustain growth across key metrics.
  • Work with other Hearst Magazines sites on content sharing and best practices.

Who you are:

  • 10+ years of post-grad experience as an editor at a major consumer website or magazine, with both print and digital skills.
  • Strong skills as an idea generator and content strategist.
  • Detail-oriented, meticulous, collaborative editor, with highly developed ability to craft and tighten copy.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Well-connected to both well-known and up-and-coming writers.
  • Good judgment as to what works to drive audience engagement and growth in digital media.
  • Open to experimenting with content types and persistent reinvention to create compelling content.
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism or other relevant area.

The base salary for this role is between $147,000 and $176,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
