Position Description - Executive Director, PMO
As the Executive Director, Technology PMO at Internet Brands, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful execution of a diverse range of technology projects. These projects span from critical infrastructure projects to corporate initiatives, encompassing large data platform and web application development. Your focus will be on ensuring alignment with business goals, optimizing project delivery, and fostering a culture of agility and collaboration. You will lead a team of project managers and work with a broad group of business, product, and technology leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
PMO Leadership:
Lead and manage the Technology PMO, overseeing a team of project managers and scrum masters.
Develop and communicate the PMO's vision, mission, and strategy to align with business objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across business units including executives, product owners, and development teams.
Act as a bridge between technology and other functions, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
Portfolio Management and Reporting:
Manage the portfolio of technology initiatives, prioritizing projects based on business value and strategic objectives.
Provide regular reporting and insights on project status, risks, and performance to senior leadership
Project Methodologies:
Drive the adoption and consistent application of agile project management methodologies, while also accommodating other methodologies as needed.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement within the PMO and across project teams.
Identify opportunities to enhance project delivery processes and tools.
Develop and maintain PMO standards, templates, and best practices.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Master's in Computer Science or Business Administration
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a PMO team responsible for a portfolio of programs with multiple projects/work streams (ideally in a web/software company)
Demonstrated experience and implementation success with various agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
Proficiency in project management software and tools
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI-ACP preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus

Works independently, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects from inception to completion, and manage multiple deadlines between cross-functional teams
Demonstrates skills in team leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management
