EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF TREATMENT
Location: Bastrop, Texas
FLSA Status: Exempt
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Executive Director of Treatment, is responsible for the development and consistent implementation of all Therapeutic programming. This position provides management of clinical and administrative practices in behavioral health programming. He or she will lead the multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality therapeutic services to each resident, establish and nurture community clinical and medical relations; and support the development and implementation of psychiatric studies. Performs other duties as assigned and required by the Chief Executive Officer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain acceptable professional practice standards through supervision, planning, evaluation, and study of developments and trends in behavioral health.
Supervise all therapeutic programs and participate in and contribute to the agency’s development of programs.
Provide direct supervision to and leadership management of clinical staff.
Maintain accurate and confidential records including the ongoing management of the electronic health record system.
Ensure all activities within the agency are conducted within the guidelines and regulation of federal HIPAA requirements.
Develop and track individual and group therapy hours, individualized treatment goals, and conduct psychological assessments as needed for each girl.
Support the development, implementation, and ongoing management of psychiatric studies.
Stay compliant with the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors Code of Ethics.
Develop the Refuge for DMST training program for all employees. Ensure that the training meets the minimum standards.
Insures that employees receive the required training prior to assuming duties.
Perform other duties as agreed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a master's degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university and three years of experience providing treatment services for children with an emotional disorder.
Preference given to degreed psychiatrist or psychologist.
Has an active professional Texas license to provide counseling services in the state of Texas, including LCSW, LPC or PsyD
Has extensive knowledge of trauma-focused therapies.
At least three years of experience providing direct clinical services to children with emotional disorders, with at least one year in a residential treatment setting, including counseling and assessment (internship and practicum experiences may be credited toward this requirement for recently licensed professionals).
Familiarity with Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI).
Crisis management experience; demonstrates ability to assess needs, manage crisis, and when appropriate, refer to internal or community mental health resources.
