Job Description
General Purpose:
The Executive Director of Judson Manor is responsible for overall operations of the campus including Independent Living and Assisted Living as well as skilled nursing units and those services that support these programs either directly through a Judson service or through a contract agreement with a third party provider. The Executive Director is responsible to insure cost-efficient, high quality programs that meet residents’ needs, operationally meet Federal and State licensure certification and accreditation requirements. The Executive Director is also part of the Judson Corporate Team, a strategic planning group that identifies challenges and opportunities for mission advancement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directly supervises the Director of Dining, Director of Security, Transportation, Director of Environmental Operations, and Director of Resident Life. Director of Maintenance, Administrative Manager, and the Administrative Assistant/Receptionist.
- Work in collaboration with supportive staff to assure resident needs are being met through internal and/or external support systems.
- Responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day physical condition of the building is maintained according to company operating, safety, building and Ohio Department of Health standards for all facility areas.
- Coordinate with team members and contractors regarding resident move-ins, relocations and unit customizations.
- Responsible for occupancy goals being met in collaboration with Executive Leadership and VP of Sales.
- In collaboration with Executive Leadership, manages annual capital projects in conjunction with contractors and VP of Project Management as needed
- Manage major renovation projects from post occupancy meetings, design and development, construction to punch list while being sensitive to residents occupying the building and assuring their needs are being met during the disruptive time of construction.
- Responsible for providing good communication with residents, their family and friends, and associates.
- Assists with resident and family communications and coordination regarding transitions in resident services and location of care.
- Meet with resident committee leaders and attend committee meetings, providing resources as needed.
- Attend Judson Services Board meetings and other committee meetings as assigned.
- Work with Human Resources and department managers to maintain a pleasant working environment that promotes good customer service skill sets while promoting personalized service and associate engagement.
- Participate in appropriate local and state professional programs related to organization (i.e., Leading Age, Leading Age Ohio and Alzheimer’s Association).
- Represents Judson at other internal or external meetings and community partnerships as assigned by Judson’s Executive Leadership.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Certifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree and/or LNHA licensure preferred
- Knowledge of Ohio Department of Health Guidelines preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of management experience including budget preparations, supervision and marketing/sales experience.
- Ability to understand member expectations within a high customer service-focused community.
- Excellent communication, organizational, customer service and time management skills.
- Computer literacy required, including strong skills in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and building management software.
- Ability to routinely travel locally and periodically work a non-traditional schedule/outside regular business hours if needed
Physical Requirements: Communication skills including articulation and enunciation to be heard and understood. Physical demands may include standing or sitting for extended periods, walking, lifting up to 25 lbs, climbing stairs, bending, stooping and repetitive motion.
Working Conditions: Must be able to travel through and be visible at all campuses when needed. Flexibility in work hours may be necessary.
