Title:Executive Director Finance, GPS Strategic Functions
Location: New Brunswick, NJ
Reports to: Head of GPS Finance
Position Responsibilities Include:
  • Strategic and operational finance leadership of 5 large and complex areas/business units:
    • Global Supply Chain (GSC)
    • Product Development (PD)
    • Global Quality (GQ)
    • Global Engineering & Facility (GEF)
    • Strategy and Business Excellence (SBE)
  • Co-own $2B P&L costs and over $5B working capital (gross inventory and capital expenditures.
  • Business partner with 5 GPS leadership team members (four SVPs and one VP). Member of leadership teams for each of the supported unit. Serve as each function's strategic advisor and liaison for all finance and strategic business partner.
  • Lead a 14-person team to develop operational and strategic financial plans, supporting decision-making and execution via financial planning, monitoring and analysis.
  • Direct Budget, Projection and monthly close processes; ensure all financials are accurately presented and maintained within a strong internal control environment.
  • Co-Lead GPS Finance Go-Team program - project leadership of approx. 15 finance individuals providing financial support to individual brand teams. This program is one of the key talent development areas in Finance.
  • Lead and develop finance team supporting all the areas of responsibility (combination of directly reporting team, dotted line teams and leased workers)
  • Member of the GPS Finance Leadership Team
  • Oversee BMS Global Capital - responsible for all financial aspects of ~$1.2B annual global Capital spend, including identifying trends, opportunities to optimize, and improve process, providing and enhancing data visibility and insights.
  • Advance integration by leading processes and system harmonization across Finance and Business Units
  • Drive continuous improvement to simplify processes, reduce manual work and enhance visibility.
  • Establish and maintain strong business partnerships and cross-functional relationships within GPS and across other Business Units and Corporate Finance groups (R&ED, IT, Treasury, CFR, CFP&A and others)
  • Rigor-test business assumptions and enable appropriate risk-benefit trade-off discussions.
  • Manage special projects, direct ad-hoc analysis to ensure highly effective outcomes.
  • Maintain Finance advisor and steward roles across matrix partners to inform and influence data-driven, sound decision-making.

Position Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in accounting or finance positions with proven upward progression
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, financial modeling, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and focus resources on areas of highest risk and/or value.
  • Ability to deal with complexity and uncertainty while driving teams towards actionable decisions.
  • Strong business partnering mindset.
  • Ability to build relationships, influence a broad range of stakeholders at all levels, and work effectively in a matrix organization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to present to various levels of management.
