Mission Overview:Responsible for overall management of Creative Operations to include budget control, people management, work flow management of projects, point of contact for Aveda’s Global Creative Director and the President of Aveda. Strongly interfaces with cross functional departments. Responsible for ensuring work performed is in alignment with Aveda branding, mission and values.

Description of Duties:
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the department and its process.
- Manage, coach and develop department employees.
- Maintain awareness and understanding of industry trends in the retail stores and salon industry.
- Manage workflow to ensure that the goals of the company are being met.
- Liaison with Marketing, Education and Shows, Retail, Salon Sales on a regular basis to discuss and clarify large projects.
- Work closely with direct reports to ensure overall department objectives are met; including any challenges needing resolution from senior management.
- Make executive decisions on critical creative issues, or call together key team members to help make the decision.
- Provide relevant information to Global Creative Director for development of branding campaigns, launches, promotions, shows/events and timelines.
- Maintain consistent review system with staff and external customers to assess progress in streamlining operations, achieving timely deliveries, maintaining and/or improving costs.
- Responsible for managing creative budget and resources of creative department. Ensure that resources are satisfying corporate expectations and focused on most important initiatives.
- Coordinate with Design Planning to deliver collateral/packaging on schedule.
- Develop and implement strategies to maintain and grow Aveda brand equity, including, but not limited to, developing corporate identity guidelines, educating key leaders, and working closely with senior management partners to regulate co-branding.
- Ensure projects meet within marketing budgets.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in design or business (relevant combination of education and experience may be considered)
Experience: 10+ years in a senior management role leading cross functional teams. Experience in advertising or print industry (or other related industries). i.e., Studio Management or Traffic Management
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $149,500 to $257,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
