Summary

As Executive Creative Director on our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of the creative vision and direction across the entire ETS enterprise. You will work in partnership and collaboration with the business units to create visually compelling design, messaging, and marketing. You will lead, inspire, and direct cross-discipline teams to interpret, create, and effectively deliver against a wide variety of creative briefs, for both internal and external work. Your creative expertise will help strengthen our brand, enhance the employee experience, and develop solutions that resonate with consumers, both inside and outside our organization.

ETS is a dynamic and innovative educational research and learning company that is constantly evolving to meet the needs of our customers. We are seeking a talented Executive Creative Director to join our Global Marketing and Innovation/Communications & Brand Team and play a key role in shaping the brand. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative leader who is passionate about design and eager to make a significant impact within our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Creative Leadership: Shape the larger vision and scope of the creative work. Give feedback to the team to ensure all creative output is on brand, aligned with the goals, and is of expected quality. Lead, create, sell, and defend project solutions to stakeholders.
  • Creative Direction: Direct across creative disciplines, and partner with leads of other disciplines. Make the ultimate decision on the direction of how the design system and/or marketing framework should be made or executed.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage and develop significant relationships with stakeholders and external partners, and help define and articulate their business, marketing, and brand goals. Create and facilitate workshops with stakeholders to define objectives and scope of a project.
  • Team Management: Inspire, lead, and shape the creative team. Provide performance feedback.

Experience and Skills:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field preferred

Experience:

  • 12+ years of professional experience, with a minimum of five in a leadership position, preferably in an in-house marketing or corporate environment.

Other Requirements:

  • Experience and/or literacy of Visual Design Principles, Copywriting, Experience Design, and Experience Strategy.
  • Literacy of Technology (Programming and Quality Assurance).
  • Expert working knowledge of current tools used in developing designs for digital spaces.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, and other current tools.
  • Exceptionally creative and solutions-oriented, as demonstrated through a portfolio showcasing a range of design work.
  • Optimistic and passionate about the work the team is doing.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Very strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong time management skills combined with self-motivation to ensure deadlines are achieved.
  • Proven track record of success working in a very fast-paced environment, multi-tasking among a large number of work products and internal partners.
