SalaryCASA Mobile (Court Appointed Special Advocate Program) is seeking a highly motivated Executive Director to help lead the program towards a new period of expansion and growth. In a newly created structure, the successful candidate will have an exciting opportunity for innovation and creativity in recruiting new volunteers, strengthening the program’s exposure within the community, increasing the numbers of children we serve and finding new funding sources for a highly valued local program that is providing services to some of the most vulnerable children in the Mobile community.
CASA Mobile is a non- profit program that is part of the national CASA agency that has over 900 programs nationwide. The mission of CASA Mobile is to help the children it serves find a safe, loving and permanent home. The program recruits and trains community volunteers to advocate in court for abused and neglected children caught up in the child welfare system.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in either Business, Finance or other related field, or the equivalent experience in one or more of those areas. The successful candidate must have strong skills in written and verbal communication. Experience in public relations, digital marketing and grant writing is preferred. Experience as a CASA volunteer or employee in a non-profit advocacy-oriented agency is also desirable.
The key responsibilities of the Executive Director include;
- To be the key ambassador for the program within the community.
- To lead on volunteer recruitment and increase significantly the numbers of children served.
- To lead on fundraising initiatives.
- To lead in strengthening CASA Mobile’s digital profile and social media presence.
- To lead on the identification and development of new sources of funding
The role is flexible with an option to be home based (other than for required meetings/engagements)
The successful candidate will become part of one of the most highly regarded volunteer programs within the court system.
