The Executive Chef's responsibility is to directly manage all Food and Beverage heart of house functionality of the hotel; direct the preparation of food, help the kitchen team in the preparation of food items and set up stations for food service. This is a working Chef position. This position must be able to prepare food quickly to the set specifications and standards while maintaining hygienic practices.
- Schedule and manage kitchen team to adhere to labor standards guidelines and maintain adequate staffing levels.
- Supervise all cooking operations including methods, portioning, and garnishing.
- Organize and interpret details as defined on Banquet Event Orders for execution of conference events as well as efficient ordering, timing, prep, and staffing.
- Assist in planning meals and developing menus.
- Ensure attractive presentation of all food dishes.
- Maintain health and sanitation standards.
- 3+ years of kitchen manager or Executive Chef experience in a similar concept
- 1+ years of multi-unit leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of restaurant industry operations, safety, and sanitation standards
- Strong communication skills with ability to motivate employees and obtain positive results
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, results-oriented, and customer-focused
Physical Requirements:
· Minimum lifting of 50 pounds.
· Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
· Hearing, writing, typing.
· Minimum pulling of 50 pounds.
· Other duties may be assigned.
