- Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of customers and the restaurant.
- Oversee the preparation and cooking of all food items.
- Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards.
- Manage and train kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
- Ensure that all kitchen staff follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Order and maintain inventory of all food and kitchen supplies.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and repaired.
- Work with restaurant management to develop and implement cost-saving measures.
- Ensure that all kitchen staff adhere to safety and health regulations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and new cooking techniques.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage and train kitchen staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
