Events & Trade Show Specialist

The goal of the Events & Trade Show Specialist is to advance and preserve the ConMet brand image and messaging through our presence in Trade Shows and events. This function is also responsible for the success of the events, they plan, manage, and evaluate the results of the organization’s appearance at Trade Shows and events. They choose or support the teams in defining which meetings/Trade Shows the organization will attend, develop, and carry out the Trade Show/event plan, and prepare for and manage individual shows/events. Reports directly to the Marketing Director. Works with the marketing team, accounting staff, show organization staff, exhibit house(s) and/ or third-party vendors to ensure successful Trade Show/event operations.

This role requires working in an office environment (not hybrid or remote) at ConMet's corporate headquarters in Vancouver, Washington. Non-local candidates must be open to relocation (relocation assistance available). 

• Manages ConMet’s participation in industry Trade Shows and association events to include booth construction, setup - and tear down, transportation, product samples, giveaways, and collateral material.
• Meet with Trade Show/event companies / organizations to understand the purpose of their meeting or event and ensure that it is compatible with ConMet’s (and its business units and sales teams) purpose, policies, and requirements.
• Monitor event activities to ensure satisfaction of attendees and the organization and planning the scope of the event (e.g., time, location, program, cost) for ConMet.
• Work with the event host and/or exhibit house(s) to ensure that required services (e.g., setup, breakdown) are provided.
• Propose event budget, review event invoices, and ensure the event is on budget.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (preference would be for degrees in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, or a closely related discipline)
• Two or more years of Trade Show coordination experience required.
• Proficiency in Office products and basic level Adobe Suite required.
• Corporate marketing experience in either consumer and/or industrial products highly preferred.
• Experience in heavy duty transportation highly preferred.
• Great communication skills and comfortable working in a cross-functional environment.

• Salary range
  • New hires generally start between $72,937- $91,171. Placement based on qualifications and professional experience.
  • Entire salary range ($72,937- $109,405) Placement based on factors including qualifications, professional experience, and location.
