The Knowledge Enterprise Events Manager, Special Projectswill work as part of a team that focuses on events designed to promote research, employee engagement, and development, as well as advancing the mission of the Knowledge Enterprise. The Event Manager is responsible for ownership of all delivery elements related to event management for virtual or in-person events. The Event Manager will be expected to effectively plan and organize work, have strong interpersonal communication skills, collaborate well with others, and deliver consistent results. Required to maintain a mobile and flexible work schedule to coordinate and attend evening and weekend events.

Essential Duties
- Manage of all project delivery elements related to content management, utilizing standard processes and procedures to achieve client satisfaction.
- Maintain and establish a positive working relationship with the ASU events and research community.
- Represent university in public relations/liaison capacity on matters relating to events and at department meetings.
- Maintain direct contact with personnel of various outside organizations and university departments associated with scheduled events.
- Manage timelines and logistical elements per project.
- Conduct routine meetings with client and key stakeholders.
- Act as unit event liaison for the KE Executive Vice Presidents Office to outline and provide timely updates for Special Projects, and other events as assigned.
- Coordinate, develop strategies, plans, and designs a variety of unique/theme-based integrated programs and events consistent with targeted program objectives and messages.
- Lead standardization of protocols and processes for the internal team and departmental use
- Oversee continue improvement opportunities regarding automation and workflows.
- Provide project feedback to all client stakeholders through summary and distribution project debrief notes.
- Provide consultations with departments/event hosts for the understanding of needs to plan/make recommendations for scope, format, budget, and logistics for a variety of event types.
- Manage large-scale and special events with high-priority stakeholders.
- Coordinate multiple concurrent events and projects simultaneously.
- This position will assist with Knowledge Enterprise Events, Biodesign Institute and Global Futures Laboratory, Homecoming, Town Hall Meetings, Employee Appreciation Events, conferences, special events, and campus visits.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field AND five (5) years administrative/coordinating experience including three years supervisory experience OR Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

- Proof of valid Arizona Driver’s license.
Working Environment
- Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting. Visual acuity and manual dexterity associated with daily use of desktop computer, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential duties.
- Expected to be responsive to customers, engaged in work production, resourceful, flexible, and respectful of others. Driving a university golf cart is required.
- Travel between ASU campus locations.
- Some evenings and weekends.
