Description
Overall Responsibilities:
- Coordinates all aspects of assigned events.
- Develops and implements plans and checklists of assigned events.
- Assist Publisher and Sales as needed with special emphasis on community events and promotion.
- Work efficiently and effectively with in-house staff, customers, and vendors.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Communicate clearly both verbally and in written form, with the highest degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Suggest and initiate, as appropriate, new methods and procedures to enhance efficient operation of the department.
- Assist in generating revenue through ticket sales or coordinate promotion-event sales working directly with sales department in revenue generation.
- Develop promotional plans and coordinate in house and outside media promotion of Insight events within budget parameters.
- Develop, manage, and post all event-related pages and updates on the company website, including the development of special landing pages for the collection of information, nominations and registrations.
- Assist with budgeting and flash report including monitoring monthly budget and expenses.
- Assist in Insight promotion house ad flow with Graphic Designers and online components.
- Lead and coordinate the Manufacturing First Expo & Conference by overseeing the involvement of the outside contractor and keeping the budgeted hours and event expense in line with the annual budget expectations
- Coordinate the development and training of online registration tools for attendee registrations and award nominations for all Insight Publications events, especially the registration of attendees for Manufacturing First.
- Coordinate the development and training of online tools to allow online reservations of event-related transactions for all events, especially for Manufacturing First exhibitor booths, program ads, electricity and other options deemed necessary in the online transaction including credit card payment.
- Coordinate the development and training of online tools to assist other sales-related initiatives for print, digital or event advertising and sponsorships offered by Insight Publications.
- Promote and increase opt-in email addresses for the daily e-newsletter
- Plan, develop, and execute social media campaigns, landing pages with sweepstakes, and other promotional strategies to increase email subscribers.
- Create content for events, promotional campaigns, and other areas as needed.
- Develop, produce, edit, and publish video as needed for events, sales, editorial and other aspects as deemed necessary within the business, and is responsible for integrating the video into the company website and social media.
- Coordinate the production and implementation of any videos produced by any outside vendors if the budget allows.
- Coordinate the production and marketing of any corporate or client-related podcasts, including the integration of the podcasts on the company website.
- Positively represent Insight and corporation in the community.
- Maintain a customer comes first environment with pro-active commitment to internal and external customer service.
- Actively participates in the Great Game of Business.
- Other job-related duties as assigned by Publisher.
