Are you passionate about creating memorable experiences for our members? Multnomah Athletic Club (MAC) is looking for a talented Events Coordinator to help us plan and execute a variety of social and athletic events that cater to all ages and interests, both in-person and virtually.
Position Summary:
As the Events Coordinator, you'll orchestrate premium experiences, from exhilarating athletic competitions to enriching educational programs, catering to diverse ages and preferences, both in-person and through hybrid virtual/live formats.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Event Coordination:
- Plan and execute social and educational events from start to finish, ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day.
- Coordinate with staff, volunteers, vendors, and service providers to make sure all details are taken care of.
- Educational Programming:
- Develop and manage our adult education activity guide, working with contractors to offer engaging courses.
- Member Engagement:
- Act as a liaison between club management and members, providing support to activity and sports committees.
- Represent MAC at events on and off the premises, making sure everything goes according to plan.
- Collaboration:
- Work with other departments to enhance the value of our events and programs for our members.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Handle administrative duties like preparing agendas, managing reservations, and tracking expenses.
- Assist with marketing efforts to promote events and classes.
- Secondary Functions:
- Maintain a positive work environment and ensure compliance with safety policies.
- Provide excellent customer service to members, answering questions and assisting with requests.
- Participate in training to continue learning and growing in your role.
- Bachelor's degree in event planning, hospitality, marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Experience planning events and working with diverse groups of people.
- Strong customer service skills and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
