Event Server

For 14 years Awesome Catering DFW has led the way in the catering space for the DFW area. The culture is top notch and we are more like a family than anything. We work hard and have fun doing it. Currently most of our catering is done for weddings and corporate events. The clients and venues we serve are located in Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington and the surrounding areas. The kitchen/office for this position is located in Arlington. This is a part time, 1099 position.

Pay Range:

$15 - $19 an hour

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a event/banquet serving experience
• Catering experience a plus
• Knowledge and experience in event operations
• Bilingual (highly preferred)
• Must be punctual
• Must be reliable
• Must be proactive and self disciplined
• Excel in a high-energy, team-based environment with effective leadership, positive communication, and training skills
• Adaptable to change, can solve problems through an open-minded approach
• Strong & varied knowledge of special diets (preferred)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Standing/walking most of the shift
• Must have food handlers certification
• Excellent time-management skills and organizational skills
• Strong people skills with an ability to interact with diverse personalities
• Ability to multi-task
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs
• Maintain a flexible schedule
• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Responsibilities

• Set up event areas and rooms according to event specifications
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner
• Assist with food preparation and presentation as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas
• Ensure guest satisfaction by promptly addressing any concerns or special requests
• Attend open houses at venues when needed
• Provide guests with a quality dining experience in an efficient and professional manner
• Proper greeting of customers when arriving
• Perform wait and service standards within a timely manner
• Assist our guests as needed to ensure a pleasurable and memorable dining experience
• Address and attend to customers’ concerns, issues, or questions
• Inspects all equipment prior to, during and at the end of each function.
• Reports any deviations from standards to Captain/Supervisor
• Clear, properly clean and set tables for quick turnaround
• Able to fill-in where needed to ensure service deadlines are met
