Role Summary
This role, on Splunk’s Global Event Marketing team, is responsible for driving the registration builds for events managed by the team. As the Event Registration Specialist, your goal will be to understand each program’s individual registration needs, recommend the appropriate internal platform, build registration and landing pages and maintain the systems while they are active.
Reporting to the Director of Flagship Events, you will build a multi-touch strategy for .conf, our annual user conference, GovSummit, our annual public sector user conference, as well as each of the industry tradeshows in which we participate. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring our audience is continually engaged, informed and motivated to attend our events.
The ideal candidate has supported registration technology development and has experience creating and maintaining standard reporting cadences.
What you'll get to do
- Collaborate with event leads and other relevant marketing stakeholders to understand the program needs in order to implement the appropriate registration system and path.
- Recommend form questions to the event leads and create custom questions as needed on a per program basis.
- Identify the proper number of registration paths / participant types and develop registration forms for the agreed upon number.
- Work with Communications manager and Event Lead to develop landing page copy.
- Execute on the build of the agreed upon landing pages and registration forms.
- Manage or support the management of hotel room blocks on an as needed basis.
- Manage or support the management of travel itineraries on an as needed basis.
- Oversee customer support via email and slack, answering attendee questions about the program on an as needed basis.
- Provide regular cadence reporting on registration stats and pace.
- Prepare for and manage the onsite registration experience including, check in, badging, access control and temp staff management
- Ability to build a mobile app on an as needed basis
Must-have Qualifications
- 3+ years working on an events marketing team with a focus on Event Registration and attendee management
- Platform experience working with RainFocus, Swoogo and Marketo is preferred
- Experience triaging potential data issues in registration data
- Experience in Google Suite and Salesforce preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple programs and program timelines at the same time
- Strong relationship builder and resourceful collaborator, with the ability to create and nurture cross-functional stakeholder relationships at all levels of the business.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, and able to multitask, prioritize projects and communicate priorities to business partners.
- Perform any other event function as required

Base Pay Range
SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area
Base Pay Range: $51.92 - 71.39 per hour
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay Range: $46.73 - 64.25 per hour
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay Range: $41.54 - 57.12 per hour
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation, and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
