The primary role of the GVC Operations Specialist is to support and execute on the activities and tasks necessary to carry out the mission of the GVC:
The GVC is a customer engagement and collaboration facility designed to showcase the values and capabilities of Lockheed Martin, while enabling employees and customers to build and enhance customer relationships.
The GVC Operations Specialist will take direction from the GVC Operations Lead, the GVC Event Plans and from the daily GVC Readiness Review meeting. The Operations Specialist’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, executing on the following:
• Prepare, set up and maintain the GVC conference rooms and spaces for all GVC events according to the GVC Event Plans.
• Set up and maintain the GVC break service for all GVC and demo center customers, when needed. At a minimum, the coffee service is to be set up at least thirty minutes before the start of the first meeting of the day. Based on the Operations Team’s bandwidth, the refreshments may be set out at the same time as the coffee service or as late as mid-morning. The break service should be set up until the last GVC meeting concludes for the day, or until 5:00PM (whichever comes first).
• Greet customers’ caterer and ensure food is set up at appointed time and location with GVC branded complimentary items: napkins, plates, cups, etc.
• Ensure GVC is operating at its best by adhering to the GVC Operations Team’s priorities (room set up, customer paid services, complimentary refreshments) and presenting each priority with a world class approach.
• Daily check list should be completed to the best of ability.
• This role includes misc tasks such as moving chairs, reconfiguring furniture, washing dishes, ensuring the GVC linens are clean and properly set up, vacuuming, etc.
Required Experience
• Previous experience in customer service, restaurant, catering, or hotel industries.
• Previous experience interacting with senior level or VIP customers.
• Previous experience in a varied, fast-pasted environment.
