Event Manager / Office Manager

We are looking for a competent Event manager to oversee and organize events that will make an impact to a target audience. You’ll ensure events are successful and run smoothly. An Event Manager is, above all, a project manager who understands marketing and promotion techniques. We want to see enthusiastic candidates with fresh ideas and the organizational skills required to not leave anything about an event to chance. Must be a people person.

Responsibilities

• Provide information to clients on how to successfully plan event from start to finish according to requirements of our venue spaces
• Come up with suggestions to enhance the event’s success
• Prepare contracts and collect payments on time
• Communicate with vendors and suppliers to make sure event goes smooth
• Inventory of Alcohol and ordering of all Alcohol
• Supervise all staff (event coordinators, caterers etc.)
• Approve all aspects before the day of the event
• Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur
• Manage additional cleaning staff and set up staff
• Analyze the event’s success and prepare reports

Skills

• Proven experience as Event Manager
• Skilled in project management
• Knowledge of event management
• Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office and EXCEL
• Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
• Excellent organizational skills
• A knack for problem-solving
• Customer-service orientation
• A team player with leadership skills
• hospitality management or related field is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
