Special Event Production Company Seeking Event Designer

Got Light is an award-winning production company specializing in lighting, audio, video, drape and custom fabrication. We provide a five-star approach to special events, corporate events, and weddings in the San Francisco Bay Area. With backgrounds in theater, film, arts, architecture, and entertainment, we use our experience and knowledge to produce top-tier designs for hundreds of events each year. This includes some of the most notable events in the city, museum openings, social galas, fundraisers, corporate events, and more! Our client roster includes non-profit organizations, art institutions and a variety of tech companies.
We are looking for a rock-star salesperson/account manager/designer who is interested in learning more about event design and production and creating some spectacular event environments.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Event Designer will be responsible for the overall management of a select group of event sales and designs from preliminary intake to final contracted sale and fully executed design. This position includes being involved in many facets of event design and technical production, from concept to completion, seeing the entire event process through from the first inquiry to the date of the event.
JOB DUTIES:

• Respond to a high volume of phone, email, and web inquiries/leads.
• Work closely with a dynamic and passionate Production & Design Team to produce your event designs.
• Submit contracts, proposals, quotes, and revisions as needed.
• Coach clients through the design process and final design selections to help them realize their event visions.
• Maintains client relationships during and after hours regularly.
• On-call liaison for after hour questions/concerns, during weekdays and weekends (50+ hourly work week)
• Maintains $1.5-2 Million revenue in sales annually.
• Use our extensive inventory and design resources to transform a client's vision into reality.
• Travel to a variety of locations to attend site inspections with potential clients.
• Build ongoing relationships with venues, event managers, and planners.
• Send clients visual options/inspirations, catalogs, and sales upgrades, etc.
• Attend site inspections or office design meetings with potential clients at venues or in Got Light Office.
• Build ongoing relationships with Venues, Event Managers, Planners, and all potential persons in a position of bringing potential revenue to the company (includes attending industry related events, gatherings, tradeshows, or mixers).
• Correspond with clients & co-vendors regularly to finalize crucial event details.
• Support onsite installation crew as needed.
• Other duties may also be assigned.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

• A Minimum of an Associate's Degree, CMEP, or another such related degree, technical training, or certification.
• Minimum 2 years experience in sales, event management, production management, and/or special events design.
• This position requires a valid driver's license
• Familiarity with the San Francisco Bay Area market, venues, and players is a huge plus.
• Proficient with Apple Products, Google Suite, and MS Suite.
• Base knowledge of Lighting, Audio, Visual, & General Production is required.
• Excited to be on site after hours and on weekends to oversee installations and connect with clients and crew.

WHAT WE OFFER:

• This is a Full-time Exempt position.
• 15 days PTO per year plus paid holidays.

SALARY:

• Total compensation inclusive of potential commission: 70k - 115k
