Are you an NBA enthusiast with experience in sports publishing? Are you available to write in the evenings and/or weekends?
Valnet Inc. is looking for writers to cover impactful NBA features for the website GIVEMESPORT.COM.
GIVEMESPORT is one of the world’s largest independent sports media publishers. It covers news, features, and interviews across a broad range of sports, from football and MMA to the NFL and NBA, catering its content to a global audience of more than 30 million fans each and every month.
We pride ourselves on delivering not just the scores, but the stories behind them. Our team of dedicated writers and contributors is committed to providing insightful commentary, thought-provoking analysis, and in-depth features that go beyond the surface of the game. Whether you're a die-hard fan or a casual observer, we cater to all levels of sports interest, making sure there's something for everyone.
Responsibilities
- Write a min. of 7 articles per week and meet assigned deadlines
- Generate and pitch new ideas/topics for articles
- Communicate and coordinate with the editorial team for assignments and feedback
- Stay up to date on the latest NBA news including stats, trades, games, injuries, etc.
- Input work into our in-house CMS following our style and formatting guidelines
- Find and format images according to our guidelines
Applicants must possess the following requirements
- Must reside in the US or Canada
- Must be able to work some combination of weekends and evenings
- In-depth knowledge and deep passion for the NBA
- Excellent writing and proof-reading skills
- Previous experience writing for a sports publication
- Previous experience working with a CMS
- Willingness to improve and implement feedback
