Ev Civil Project Designer

Position Summary:

SEAM Group is adding to our team and is looking for an EV Civil Project Designer who wants to make a difference by ensuring safety for the lives of others. You will join the Electric Vehicle Operations Team and report to the EV Civil Engineer. As an EV Civil Project Designer, you will be responsible for designing and drafting EV Civil Engineering projects under guidance of EV Civil Engineer. This includes EV infrastructure site layout that will have consideration of ADA compliance, code requirement, drainage and Utility plans for land development and infrastructure projects, and more. To be successful in this role, you must be able to manage multiple projects at a time, work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with other team members and clients.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

· Assist with design tasks and reports under the direction of EV Civil Engineer.

· Conduct site feasibility research, site visit investigations, and generate reports and recommendations based on findings.

· Responsible for due diligence, investigating local requirements and criteria, verifying client-provided information is accurate.

· Development of high-quality and thoroughly coordinated civil construction drawings with an emphasis on constructability.

· Ability to support the EV Engineers, Project Managers and other team members as necessary to produce high quality projects.

· CAD Design/drafting

· Proficient in Grading

· GIS Knowledge

· Under the direction and supervision of other Engineers be able to prepare EV infrastructure layouts to include consideration of ADA compliance, code requirement, and drainage and Utility plans for land development and infrastructure projects.

· Responsible for plan production and accurate implementation of specific EVSE standards.

· Trains younger staff in design software and design concepts.

· Assist in helping to achieve project milestones and deliverable work products.

· Work cooperatively on project teams.

· Ability to independently work and solve problems.

· Demonstrate an understanding of EVSE standards.

· Demonstrate an understanding of fundamentals of civil design.

· Demonstrate an understanding of ADA compliance and codes requirements.

· Assist with City or County plan check under the direction of EV Engineers.

· Assist with project management duties, as requested and needed.

· Ability to represent the Electric Vehicle Operations Team and run a program as needed.

· Represent the Electric Vehicle Operations Team and assist with meetings with clients.

· Organize and maintain project files.

Education and Experience:

· You have obtained an Engineering degree from an accredited school or university.

· 5+ years of experience working.

· Must be able to pass a criminal background check and a drug screening.

· 2+ year of EV experience

· Strong software skills including Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Vehicle Tracking, Bluebeam, Excel, and Nearmaps

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
