Assists the occupational therapist with carrying out the therapeutic provisions of an IEP for students receiving special education services. Must possess sufficient strength, dexterity, and mobility to perform or assist in performing all assigned tasks. This position requires the flexibility to serve multiple sites on an itinerant schedule and to provide training to ESY staff around physical management, equipment use, and supporting self-care.
Qualifications
This position requires graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program; successful completion of the National Board for Certification Therapy (COTA) exam; and licensure from the Virginia Board of Medicine.
