C. Master's Degree in Educational Leadership
Direct Supervisor: School Principal
Performance Responsibilities:
1. Frames and Communication Goals:
a. Keeps the school principal informed of the program's activities
b. Maintains active relationship with students, staff, parents, and the community
2. Knows and Coordinates Curriculum and Instruction
a. Leads the development, determination or appropriateness and monitoring of the instructional program
b. Creates class list to meet student needs
3. Supervises and Evaluates/Monitors Progress
a. Supervises the schools educational program
b. Supervises all professional, paraprofessional, and nonprofessional personnel associated with the program
4. Promotes School Climate by Setting Standards and Expectations
a. Maintains an effective learning climate in the program
b. Enforces student behavior intervention plans
c. Assists in the ESY orientation with special responsibility for staff administrative procedures and instruction
5. Managerial Responsibilities
- Record Keeping
- Supervises the preparation and maintenance of all required building records, such as IEPs, Progress Reports, attendance, and etc.
- Maintains inventory of property under their jurisdiction and preserves the security of that property
- Responsible for all official school correspondence
- Building and Grounds
- Supervises the daily use of the school facilities for both academic and nonacademic purposes
- Professional Responsibilities
- Keeps supervisor informed of events and activities of an unusual nature as well as routine matters related to the supervisor's accountability
- Enforces district policies and administrative regulations
- Conducts meetings of the staff as necessary for the proper functioning of the program
- Communication
- Communicates with parents about program information like registration, arrival and dismissal procedures
- Conducts a survey to acquire input and feedback about the program
Time Commitment:
- June 10th 8am - 3:30pm
- June 11th - July 10th 8am - 1pm, Monday -Thursday (No School June 19th or July 4th)
- July 11th 8am - 3:30pm
**4. Plus 16 hours of paid prep/planning time prior to the start of ESY (outside of scheduled work hours)
Salary/Benefits: $50 per hour
