Summary
When a U.S. Navy ship needs repairs, they call us. Join our team as we keep the most powerful Navy the world has known afloat and ready to serve! This Production Planning Manager position will support Elevator Support Unit (ESU) by supervising a variety of skilled trades in the maintenance and technical tasks on aircraft carrier elevators, weapons elevators, and vertical stores conveyors. You will provide quality technical supervision and guidance in daily operations of the Elevator Support Unit (ESU) Team in accordance with the technical references applicable to each task. This position is located in Bremerton, WA. Travel within and outside of the continental United States may be required.
What You Will Do

  • Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
  • Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
  • Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.
  • Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.

What You Must Have
  • 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Must have experience supporting ESU by supervising a variety of skilled trades in the maintenance and technical tasks on aircraft carrier elevators, weapons elevators, and vertical stores conveyors.
  • Must have experience providing quality technical supervision and guidance in daily operations of the ESU Team in accordance with the technical references applicable to each task.
  • Must have experience providing technical direction and training to personnel assigned to work for them, coordinate work accomplishment and provide technical services to customers as required.
  • Must have experience with Technical Work Package development to include Ship Check's and material requirements.
  • Must have experience with proper tag-out procedures and making sure they are followed.
  • Must have experience reviewing safety requirements of tasking prior to authorizing technicians to begin work.
  • Must have experience as acting as a liaison with shipboard point of contact (LCPO/Divisional Officer) daily and provide production and schedule updates to Project Manager weekly.
  • Must be able to interact with (discussions/email) CNAP TA/COR/MPM as applicable to tasking.
  • Must have experience with the development of schedules and manning / hiring requirements.
  • Must have experience performing troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and testing of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have a current, valid DoD Confidential Security Clearance or higher.
  • Must be proficient at read schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.

Physical Requirements
May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
