Estimator I Inside Sales

What You'll Do:

• Analyzes blueprints and other documentation to develop material lists and cost estimate sheets for the sales department and customers. The estimates are used by sales for bidding purposes to confirm construction and labor costs for contract jobs.
• Computes cost factors and prepares quotes used for bidding commercial construction jobs.
• Retrieves information on commercial jobs from various online plans rooms.
• Track quoted jobs to see who job is awarded to.
• Navigate job specification and blue prints to make sure correct materials are being quoted
• Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors.
• Receives information from sales representative and/or customer to aid in providing a complete quote.
• Knowledge of lumber, plywood, engineered wood, metal studs, insulation, drywall, metal siding, wood trusses and other construction related items would be helpful.
• Calculate freight charges from vendors to all points in Alaska.

Minimum Requirements:

Associates degree in construction technology from two-year (2) college or technical school or equivalent job experience preferred. Must have two-years (2) prior experience in the building construction industry.
