Exciting opportunity to join a growing, 5th-generation, family-owned commercial construction company! Our client has been in the Madison community for over 100 years and is dedicated to building the bedrock of Dane County. Due to recent growth, they are adding to their Madison team. One opening is for an Estimator.

Responsibilities:

• Review project plans, specifications, and technical documents to develop accurate estimates, assigned trade responsibilities, and subcontractor coverage
• Identify and quantify all cost factors such as time, labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and other cost elements 
• Help prepare thorough, accurate, and timely estimates utilizing various computer software programs 
• Effectively communicate and build relationships with both internal and external customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and design teams to fully coordinate project expectations

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of construction experience, particularly in commercial building projects 
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a Construction related field 
• 3+ years of relevant work experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
• Experience in estimation of commercial buildings, working with BIM programs, estimation of self-performed work, and regional construction practices
