Develops cost estimates on all projects as required by clients documents.
Responsibilities
- Review construction documents and understands scope of work to bid.
- Executes take-offs of construction documents.
- Inputs take-offs into a bid form or spreadsheet
- Stays informed of current material pricing. Obtains pricing for any specialty materials
- Calculates and documents all material, labor, equipment, subcontractor and overhead costs included in each estimate.
- Develops and maintains resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, UL listings, government requirements, etc.
- Meets prescribed bid due dates
- Responds to bid invitations
- Documents and revises bids as required by RFI's, CB's, etc?
- Clearly documents inclusions/exclusiond & options on bids
- Attends scope review meetings at required.
- Communicates with other divisions as required.
- Communicates with customers
- Bid follow up as required/directed
- Attends departmental meetings as required.
