Typical Day in the Life

A typical day as an ESOP Advisory Senior Associate might include:

  • Work with clients to help them understand employee ownership as part of an exit strategy and throughout the subsequent sale of their business to an ESOP.
  • Performing phase 1 ESOP feasibility analyses including data gathering and analysis, forecasting, financial modeling and valuation, and preparing client deliverables, including Confidential Information Memorandums ("CIMs").
  • Supporting phase 2 ESOP transaction execution including research and analysis aiding transaction design, negotiations, and closing.
  • Performing and supporting ESOP repurchase obligation and sustainability studies.
  • Research and provide insights of market, economic, and industry conditions for various clients.
  • Work with the ESOP Advisory team to develop and improve financial models and brainstorm and create emerging and unique solutions for clients.
  • Assist Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) teams in business valuation, quality of earnings, buy- and sell-side M&A, and special projects as needed.

Who You Are

  • You have a bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
  • You have 2+ years of experience with business valuation or transactions is required.

  • Buy- or sell-side ESOP transaction experience, highly preferred.

  • You have knowledge of accounting principles, business valuation, and transactions.
  • You are able to communicate clearly at a high proficiency level, both verbally and in writing.
  • You are self-motivating and eager to learn, adapt efforts and schedules to client needs, and enjoy solving complex problems.
  • You have the ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • You have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.
  • You are proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and using various software packages.
  • You hold or have made progress toward widely recognized credentials, such as ASA, CFA, CPA/ABV, CVA, preferred.

Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.

 

Benefits and Compensation

Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.  

 

Salary Range: $70,000 - $100,000
