Esl Teacher

The Tyson Foods plant in Logansport is hiring a part-time teacher for ESL (English as a Second Language) classes that we hope to begin in early May. This class is a free benefit to Tyson employees and we are seeking someone who is able to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and who has experience teaching ESL. Spanish, Haitian Creole, French and/or other language abilities preferred. More details below:

• Class: basic English + digital skills (we have a full curriculum and will train the instructor)
• Hours: Tuesday and Wednesday from 1pm - 6:30pm, plus additional prep time
• Start date: Early May, depends on availability of plant and teacher
• Course length: 14 weeks, will likely continue with ongoing 14-week sessions (3x/year)
• Pay: $40/hour for instruction time plus additional prep time each week, plus all training. This will average to 11-14 paid hours per week.
• Location: Tyson Foods plant in Logansport, IN
