Job Description:
This job is responsible for assisting with the recommendation process related to the buying, selling, or holding of financial securities and/or studying the role of government in the economy. Key responsibilities include performing financial and statistical analyses, conducting research, preparing reports, helping to originate, structuring and modeling transactions, and assessing market trends.
The Semiconductors team covers a wide range of companies involved in the design and manufacturing of chips that serve the cloud computing, AI, automotive, networking and industrial markets.

Responsibilities:
- Conducts analysis of financial data, news, and other information to identify opportunities and risks related to companies, industries, or financial instruments
- Assists in structuring, pricing, and executing transactions to assist in developing financing solutions for existing and emerging companies
- Attends to day-to-day sales, trading, and hedging transaction needs, responding to client inquiries, logs, and records data
- Leads and/or supports the preparation of associated financial models and written reports, which can be complex and quantitative in nature
- Perform financial modeling & valuation work
- Update, analyze and compile complicated datasets in databases using Excel
- Derive key insights from data trends and analysis
- Monitor, compile, and summarize/model key industry news and developments
- Seek out new, unusual sources of information to augment our research capabilities/insights
- Write and update company and industry data reports and trends
- Closely follow and understand stock market, industry and company specific activity, and relay to the analyst when he/she is traveling
- Develop industry knowledge and business judgment over time
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience. Progress towards a CFA or other relevant professional certifications is a plus
- Experience in accounting, corporate finance, research, banking or consulting
- Strong modeling and financial analysis skills (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement in Excel)
- Strong attention to detail, and understanding of MS Office for formatting charts, tables and exhibits
- Knowledge of statistics and/or data analytics/data science techniques a plus
- General interest in the stock market and/or financial markets
- Must work well in a fast-paced, intense and collaborative team environment
