You will serve as an EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST (CORROSION) in the Industrial and Logistics Maintenance Planning and Sustainment Department, Naval Air Technical Data and Engineering Service Center of NV AIR TECHNICAL DATA AND ENGRG SVC.Qualifications: GS-11:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Applying advanced working knowledge of a wide range of airframe and airframe sub-system operations and maintenance concepts, principles, and practices requiring extended specialized training and experience to plan and conduct work that requires significant judgment in evaluating, selecting and adapting precedents and modifying procedures criteria; (2) Providing subject matter expertise and assistance on the inspection, identification and repair of corrosion not limited to structures, control surfaces, engine controls, landing and arresting gear, fuel systems, fire extinguishing systems, hydraulic systems, and environmental control systems; (3) Analyzing and resolving complex corrosion problems on assigned aircraft for corrective actions; and (4) Demonstrated ingenuity and technical expertise to handle unique situations and skills to prepare lesson plans, designing training aids and conducting technical training on operation, maintenance and installation of aviation systems.
