Equipment Operator Loader 2nd ShiftWest Deptford

The overall purpose of this position is to secure palletizing of product and loading it onto designated truck, meeting nightly departure deadlines. Accountable for safety and cleanliness in the loading/material handling area.

Essential Functions:

1. The hours for this position are Sunday 12pm to finish and Monday through Thursday, 1pm to finish. Additional days/hours or adjustment to daily start time may change due to holiday or additional workload.
2. Product is scanned, and staged in the appropriate Distribution Center area.
3. Create and wrap pallets that correspond with the appropriate Distribution Center, which will be loaded onto the appropriate truck for nightly line haul departure.
4. Maintain warehouse and receiving dock work areas in a clean and organized manner for safe and effective operation.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a warehouse and cooler environment (34 degrees). The employee will utilize warehouse equipment such as Forklifts, Electric and Manual Pallet Jacks, RF scanners, box cutters, and pallet-wrapping equipment.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and read. This position is very active and requires standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching and operating equipment. The employee must frequently lift/and or move items up to 50 pounds. The employee will also wear and use a scanning device on their wrist. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements:

1. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, which requires managing within deadlines.
2. This position requires Forklift Certification.
3. Experience using Electric and Manual Pallet Jacks, RF Scanners, and any other warehouse-related equipment.
4. Prior knowledge/experience working in warehouse environment
5. Demonstrated ability to adapt to change in a positive manner
