River Front is currently seeking a Pipe Foreman, Pipe Laborers/Setters and Equipment Operators to join our team! The selected individuals will install and repair water/sewer lines and drainage systems.
Pipe Foreman - 10 years' experience performing deep sewer and drainage, water main and distribution lines as either foreman or lead pipe laborer. Ability to read plans and specs, perform field layout, set up line and grade using laser and levels. Safety conscious, understanding of various shoring systems, strong communication with crew and senior staff. Experience with gas/HDPE force main and by-pass fusion is a plus but we are willing to train. Prevailing wage as Pipe Foreman and company truck.
Pipe Laborers/Pipe Setters - 5 years' experience "in the hole" setting pipe on target every time, plus time as "top man." Able to read and set grade with sewer, drainage and water lines. Strong understanding of deep excavation safety along with rigging and lifting of manholes, culverts, vaults and large diameter pipe. Understanding of pipe bedding, trench compaction and materials. Able to form and pour short sections of walks, curbs, asphalt paving "handwork" and landscaping as needed to surface restoration requirements of pipe installation. Supervisory experience is a plus. Experience with gas/HDPE force main and by-pass fusion is a plus. Prevailing wage as Pipe Setter, Pipe Laborer.
General Laborer - 3 to 5 years' experience with production pipe installation. Able to adapt and learn the necessary skills to become a pipe setter or foreman. Understanding of deep excavation safety along with rigging and lifting of manholes, culverts, vaults and large diameter pipe. Understanding of pipe bedding, trench compaction and materials. Able to form and pour short sections of walks, curbs, asphalt paving "handwork" and landscaping as needed to surface restoration requirements of pipe installation. Prevailing wage.
Heavy Equipment Operator - 10 years' experience running large scale excavators (50,000lbs. or greater) as a lead excavator performing deep sewer and drainage. Experience working within shoring, understanding of excavation safety, rigging and lifting with an ability to advise superintendents and foreman with planning. While this position is primarily with large equipment, the candidate should be open minded to jump in smaller equipment as needed. As lead operator "up high," you should be able to watch over your crew for safety. Prevailing wage.
