The Epidemiologist will be a key member of the HEOR Analytics team within the PrecisionQ Precision Care Quantified business unit. The individual will have a strong background in the methodology of conducting observation research for Pharma, Biotech, and the Healthcare sector in the Precision Medicine space. The studies will be based on de-identified healthcare data from Electronic Medical Records, health claims, pharmacy claims, and genomics data for Oncology, Urology, and other patients.

Responsibilities:
- Lead/ Support the task lead on projects.
- Will assist in the creation of data-driven insights for Pharma, Biotech, and healthcare providers.
- Therapeutic areas include oncology and urology.
- Lead/Support the development of protocols, reports, or other needed study documents within the stipulated timelines of the project.
- Typical engagements involve describing patient treatment landscape by line of therapy and variability in practice patterns and developing statistical models to describe healthcare resource utilization and cost of care.
- Play a key role in applying relevant epidemiological and outcomes research to developing statistical analysis plans and interpretations of the analytic output.
- Contribute to business development by drafting proposals, as necessary.
- Contribute to the dissemination of research by authoring abstracts, posters, and manuscripts.
- May attend key (scientific/medical) conferences; identify emerging trends; contribute to publications and collaboratively support the expansion of HEOR analytics within the PQ business unit.
- Master’s degree in epidemiology, public health, or health sciences; PhD preferred.
- 5+ years of experience generating RWE with expertise in epidemiology, outcomes research, and health economics.
- Oncology expertise from a scientific, medical, or pharmaceutical background with a basic understanding of the mechanism of oncology, basic analytics (e.g. survival analysis), and common therapies (chemo, IO, etc.) preferred.
- Experience writing protocols, statistical analytic plans, reports, and manuscripts.
- Insight into healthcare data, ideally with the ability to use statistical tools, when needed.
- Be independent and able to work collaboratively with different teams and the analytical lead.
- Preferred qualities: pro-active, collaborative, creative, energetic, and positive.
- Travel required to attend conferences (up to 10%).
