AKRF, Inc. is seeking an Environmental/Urban Planner to join our collaborative and dynamic team, in our New York City office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of environmental review and planning documents, including Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements in accordance with New York City Environmental Quality Review (CEQR), New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
  • Preparation and development of various sections of environmental review and planning documents.
  • Management of in-house technical disciplines and other consultants in the development of environmental documents.
  • Coordination with clients, other consultants, and agencies.
  • Tracking of projects, including scopes of work, budgets, and schedules.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of environmental planning or engineering experience in New York City.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
  • Experience using project management tools and software, including Microsoft 365 (Teams, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint).

Compensation will range from $70,00K-$92,000K, dependent upon experience and roles and responsibilities.
