We have an immediate need for a Environmental Test Technician at our aerospace location in Rockford, ILL. The primary focus of this role is to perform various test lab proceedures in support of daily test activities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Test Setup - Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment
- Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data
- Data Processing - After test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data and finalize data for review
- Lab Maintenance / Post-Test Breakdown - Physically remove test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, & organizing supplies
- Other - Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
- 2-5 years relevant testing experienceUnder General Supervision, can perform certain recurring work independently
- Intermediate interpretation and analysis of test results
- Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical & Mechanical principles, working knowledge of basic safety practices; working knowledge of Aerospace Electrical systems
- Able to use all standard Environmental equipment
- Able to accurately capture necessary data
- Able to understand AC/DC circuits
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Due to the nature of the work, you must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Mostly On-Site Shop Environment
- Substantial amounts of computer work.
- Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
- Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
- Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks with overtime as needed
- Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
