Job Description

Who We Are

As one of the fastest-growing on-the-go drinkware companies in America, we’ve got a reputation for doing great things. Our vision is simple - bring delight to eating and drinking.

Delight is different to everyone. Whether it’s the perfect cup of coffee, or a water bottle that helps you crush your workout, our mission is to make it look great, function perfectly and cost less than you’d expect.

Delivering on this promise takes extraordinary efforts and exceptional people. Through our teams’ ingenuity and grit, we’ve created a place where the best ideas win, and they can come from anyone. Our culture combines the scrappy spirit of a startup with the perks of a market leader.

We believe the right way to design products starts and ends with two key ingredients: process + people. Process is the path that takes us from ideas to products that are on brand, on time and on budget. People are the secret sauce that adds ingenuity every step of the way.

Together, we navigate each day with optimism, curiosity, a healthy sense of humor and a strong allergy to the word “no.” This desire for better, coupled with a deep understanding of consumers’ daily lives, gets us to meaningful delight.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Test Technician to join our dynamic team, responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our products. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will collaborate closely with members of the engineering, product development, and quality teams to comprehend requirements, developing and implementing standard test procedures and work instructions. Your role will involve the execution of various tests, encompassing functional, performance, stress, and durability assessments on prototypes and production models. Utilizing both manual and automated testing tools, you will streamline the testing process and actively contribute to the enhancement of product performance and reliability.

  • Work alongside the product team to define and implement quality standards and procedures. Ensure adherence to industry best practices and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Investigate and resolve issues found during testing and collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve identified problems effectively.
  • Continuously explore opportunities to automate testing processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual efforts. Use basic, hands-on shop skills to develop, build, and maintain automated test setups, fixtures, and gauges.
  • Provide valuable feedback to the product development team based on test findings. Collaborate with engineering and design teams to enhance product performance, reliability, and overall user experience.
  • Create detailed test reports outlining test methodologies, results, and any identified defects or improvements. Maintain comprehensive documentation of testing procedures and results.
  • Coordinate with our overseas manufacturing team to complete pre-production testing and new product qualification.
  • Evaluate daily pre-ship production inspection reports and provide factories with guidance or elevate issues to relevant product team members.
  • Occasionally support factory audits of our manufacturing partners.
  • Effectively communicate project updates to all major stakeholders.

Who You Are

  • 1+ years experience, ideally in the consumer products industry
  • Associate's degree or higher is required, preference for a Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology degree
  • Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail to ensure timely execution of projects and ability to set and prioritize goals with general guidance
  • Ability to perform professional mechanical engineering assignments of a wide variety under general direction
  • A strong grasp of manufacturing (including injection molding, sheet metal forming/stamping, etc.) and assembly processes and methods is preferred
  • Experience designing and building electromechanical assemblies including use of microcontrollers for robotic test setups is preferred
