JOB SUMMARY: The Environmental Specialist I is responsible for participating in a wide range of projects which may include Asbestos Inspections, Asbestos Abatement Observations, IAQ Investigations, and Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments.

Conduct research, complete reviews, and compile reports.
Site visits to include field sampling, data collection, field equipment operation, and other field activities associated with environmental projects.
With support and guidance from Environmental Specialist II/III and Senior Environmental Specialists, works independently on projects ranging from small to medium and assists senior staff on larger projects.
Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright’s and Impact 7G’s culture of safety and employee ownership.
Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or similar field. In the absence of a degree, equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
0-2 years’ experience in the environmental and/or construction field.
Required license/credentials based on requirements that are job related and consistent with business necessity.
Proficient with the Microsoft Office products, including Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Strong work ethic, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and time management skills.
Be organized and detail oriented.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be capable of working while wearing a negative pressure respirator without restriction.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds, on occasion.
Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions in outdoor environments.
