Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include, but not limited to the following:
Responsible for the Incident Investigation Program.
• Ensure all supervisors are trained in the Incident Investigation Procedures and Process
• Ensure all incidents are thoroughly investigated and properly documented
• Ensure that corrective actions are properly implemented
• Communicate learnings and improvements across the operations
Responsible for the Site Safety Committee
• Establishing goals and objectives for the Committee Members
• Establishing training activities for the Committee Members
• Ensuring Committee Safety/Hazard Identification Inspections are conducted and corrective actions are implemented
• Other activities as identified
Responsible for Site Lock, Tag and Try Program
• Ensuring that all Authorized Employees are identified and trained in lock, tag and try
• Ensuring that all Authorized Employees' competency is reviewed annually
• Validating all Lock, Tag and Try Procedures annually
• Ensuring new or modified equipment has the appropriate lock, tag and try procedures
Responsible for Safety/Safety Compliance Related Training
• Participate in New Hire Orientation
• Conduct content specific training as needed; including but not limited to:
o Powered Industrial Vehicle Training
o Chemical Awareness Training
o Lock, Tag and Try Training
o Confined Space Entry
• Work in conjunction with Training Manager to develop and deliver new training modules as necessary
Emergency Preparedness and Response Program
• Coordinate and facilitate emergency response preparedness drills
o Shelter in Place/Weather
o Evacuation
o Other
• Validate EPR Program Annually and updating as required
Other Activities May Include
• Assisting Medcor Clinic Staff in treating injured or ill employee
• Assisting Human Resources with Reasonable Suspicion Evaluations
• Assisting Human Resources with employee escorts
• Other activities as dictated by the needs of the organization
Requirements
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Safety, Risk Control, Industrial Hygiene, related field or applicable experience
Experience with environmental reporting parameters and with governmental agencies.

• Ability to perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Word Processing software.

• The tasks of this role require the team member to be in the production environment at least 50% of the time.
• The production environment can range in temperatures to very cold to warm. The team member must be able to perform task in these temperatures.
• The work duties are dynamic ranging from sedentary work to walking/standing for extended periods of time. The nature of the role may require frequent stairs and ladder usage, walking in congested areas and/or working in confined spaces.
• The team member may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat.
