Environmental Scientist

MUST BE LICENSED IN THE STATE OF COLORADO AS AN ASBESTOS INSPECTOR & AIR MONITORING SPECIALIST AS A MINIMUM TO BE CONSIDERED.

Texas-based environmental consulting firm is expanding our Colorado/Midwest office and is looking for a Colorado-licensed Asbestos Inspector and Air Monitoring Specialist. Farmer Environmental Group, LLC / Colorado Branch Office Responsibilities include but are not limited to conducting asbestos inspections, lead-based paint inspections, mold assessments, Indoor Air Quality assessments, and moisture mapping. Salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000/year depending on experience. An entry level position will be considered for the right applicant. Salary range for entry level is $40,000 to $50,000/year.

The Preferred qualifications include the following: -

· High School Diploma or GED required. College degree is plus.

· Asbestos Inspector / AMS

· Strong, verifiable references

· Reliable transportation available to be used for work purposes (mileage expense is reimbursed)

· Great work attendance

· Ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritize obligations accordingly, and manage time wisely

· Good computer skills, primarily MS Office programs & Excel-based databases

· Must be able to work overtime when called upon

Some examples of the desired attributes are:

· Background in construction, building maintenance, and/or understanding of building systems and materials

· Background in the environmental consulting industry

· Willingness to be cross-trained and diversify skill-set

· Experience managing complex projects

· Knowledge of Colorado asbestos regulations

Travel will be required, primarily within Colorado and adjoining states as projects demand, and possibly to Caribbean islands (must have valid passport).
