Job Summary

 

WasteXpress Environmental (WXE), a Pacific Northern Environmental LLC division, is seeking an experienced Haz Mat Driver with operational capabilities who thrives in a fast-paced, team environment and has the ability to provide exceptional service and skills to our company, clients, and employees.

 

Pacific Northern Environmental, LLC consists of four divisions include Advanced Electrical Technologies (AET), Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS), Pacific Northern Environmental Construction (PNEC), and WasteXpress Environmental (WXE). Together, we specialize in commercial and petroleum construction, industrial and commercial electrical, industrial cleaning, and hazardous waste disposal. PNE LLC has offices in multiple states.

                                               

WasteXpress has been helping PNW customers since 1989 by providing fast, friendly, and compliant hazardous waste disposal services to a broad range of clientele. Our value system treats every customer with the importance they deserve and the service they expect.

 

This individual will be tasked to help WasteXpress with opening the new Caldwell 10-day Transfer Facility and servicing all newly acquired customers throughout the Caldwell / Boise area.

 

 

Education and Experience Qualifications

 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid CDL Class B Driver’s License Required
  • Hazmat Endorsement preferred, but company is willing to pay to obtain.
  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation Title 49 (Hazardous Materials Transportation Regulations)
  • Knowledge of Resource Conservation and Recovery Act Title 40 (Protection of the Environment)
  • Proficient in Microsoft, Excel and able to learn new environmental software.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

The Environmental Operations Coordinator possessing the education and experience listed above performs the following:

 

  • Drive to customers’ location to package waste, label waste, manifest waste in compliance with all applicable laws.
  • Prepare shipping documents.
  • Create waste profiles into outbound facilities.
  • Utilize HazCat Hazmat Chemical Identification Equipment to characterize material as needed.
  • Act in a proficient and professional manner while interfacing with customers.
  • Work closely with the Sales Department in preparing work orders and other project documents.
  • Help coordinate outbound regulated waste shipments to end facilities.
  • Help keep the 10-day Transfer Facility in compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

The candidate must possess and be adaptable to the following physical abilities and working conditions:

 

  • Move about the jobsite as needed.
  • Move work related equipment up to 50lbs.
  • Remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
  • Operate various technological devices, including but not limited to a computer.
  • Occasionally ascend/descend ladders and/or stairs.
