Overview

The Environmental Hygiene Intern is a full-time internship that will last up to 12 months, as business need determines. The position will require enrollment in a graduate program in either Industrial or Occupational Hygiene and/or Environmental Science or Public Health.

Responsibilities

• Training and support for Environmental Assessments of Homes, Schools, Childcare Centers, and Hospitals.
• Training in the interpretation and presentation of assessment results
• Client and Community Education and Advocacy
• Data Entry / Record Keeping

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required. Enrolled in a graduate program in either Environmental Science or Public Health, and/or Industrial or Occupational Hygiene.
• For this internship position, undergraduate course work in Environmental Science or Public Health, Chemistry and/or Environmental Chemistry, Industrial Hygiene, or other courses similar in content are necessary for performing the work.

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $15.00/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
