Hearth & Home Technologies (HHT), the industry leader in fireplace and stove design and manufacturing, is in search of an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Intern to join our Operations team in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. Our internship will run for approximately 11 weeks during the summer of 2024, and is a paid internship with housing allowance for qualified interns.
Each summer, 15 to 20 students from a variety of majors, join the HHT family for a summer focused on hands on learning, professional development, and networking.
As an intern with Hearth & Home Technologies, you join a fast-paced team with a vision and passion for implementing solutions and exceeding our customers’ expectations. While no day will be the same, you can expect to put the knowledge you have gained in the classroom to use every day in a variety of experiences.
HHT interns receive a project (or two!) for the summer and work directly with a mentor for technical and professional guidance. Throughout the summer, professional development sessions are provided for interns including opportunities to learn from and network with senior leadership.
What it takes:
· Pursuing a four-year degree in Engineering, Environmental, Safety or Sustainability
· Strong leadership characteristics reflected in school or work environments.
· Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
· Adaptability and flexibility
· Strong communication skills are required
