Environmental Health and Safety Regional Manager, Northeast - Northeast

The Job:
As a Regional Environmental and Safety Manager, you'll be part of our EHS Center of Excellence team working as a virtual employee. You'll get to:
  • Partner with respective Plant and Distribution Center Leaders
  • Support for Plant and Distribution Center Environmental Health and Safety Leaders
  • Compliance Assurance and Review (internal and external audit)
  • Leadership reporting of incidents, performance and concerns
  • Environmental Health and Safety Management system delivery (Roadmap)
  • Support the development of policy, leads and central projects
  • Support MOC activities
  • Monthly data integrity review
  • Incident investigation and 4-Block review for recent incidents
  • Agency Interaction and management
  • Talent development and retention
  • Support sites in achieving Zero Waste to Landfill, energy and water conservation, preparation for internal audit
  • Provide EHS training for Plant, Distribution Center Leaders and designated staff, including the effectiveness of your site EHS counsel
  • Progress on Safety Focus (Critical Risk RMs) plan or Focus 6 plan (if applicable)
  • Safety and ECWW data review
  • Review Applicable Permit compliance and data entry
  • This position reports directly to the Regional Director, in a hybrid model, flexibility is required to respond to emergencies, ability to travel at least 30-40% in North America, and occasional international travel

The Person:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental Management in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment (preferably global diversified company).
  • Bachelor's Degree in EHS management, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or closely related technical discipline.
  • EHS Certification e.g., CHMM, CSP preferred.
  • The regional support role (Sr. Mgr., Mgr, Specialist) will interpret, translate, and support the implementation for execution for EHS programs and policies at the site.
