The coordinator is responsible for supporting clinical accreditation functions and patient safety for the Quad Cities region. This position is responsible for ensuring a coordinated, proactive approach for the organization, to ensure continued survey readiness and successful accreditation survey processes. Encourages associates in achieving a Culture of Safety. This role requires collaboration with all areas involved with direct or indirect patient care, including patient care departments, patient experience, legal, risk, case management, clinical informatics, process improvement, infection prevention, education, and others. This role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to foster a positive professional relationship with peers, physicians, and other members of the leadership team.

Coordinate and Facilitate Continuous Survey Readiness
- Supports compliance with regulatory requirements and Accreditation standards as related to patient care services.
- Proactively seeks knowledge of new and changing regulatory requirements to ensure organizational readiness.
- Assists with continuous readiness activities throughout the organization.
- Supports accreditation steering committee.
- Participates in performing, evaluating and reporting on mock tracer activities
- Assists with implementation and maintenance of compliance with National Patient Safety Goals in collaboration with TMC leaders.
- Supports comprehensive readiness plans for full survey activities including coordination of accreditation survey, survey team, and documents.
- Assist with follow-up on survey findings including action plans and measures of success.
- Supports Just Culture within the organization in conjunction with department leaders and senior leaders.
- Prepares and recommends polices, systems and processes to improve and maintain patient safety.
- Assists in communicating patient safety strategies, initiatives, and progress to key stakeholders in the organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements

Education:
Bachelor’s degree.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing, heath administration or other related field.
Experience:
Previous healthcare, quality and/or safety related experience.
Clinical or healthcare related background.
License(s)/Certification(s):
Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
Certification related to patient safety, quality or accreditation.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Familiar with Federal and State laws and regulations, accreditation standards, and CMS Conditions of Participation.
· Must exhibit mature judgment, honesty, integrity and a high sense of responsibility.
· Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills with all hospital and off-site personnel.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
