We continue to expand our industry-leading traffic engineering and transportation planning practice known for its technical prowess, innovative solutions, and dedication to client satisfaction and are looking for an entry-Level Traffic Engineer/Planner to help drive the next generation of transportation solutions throughout our New York and Connecticut footprint. The candidate can be located in our New York City, White Plains NY and Stamford CT offices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide traffic planning, design, and engineering services.
- Prepare or review traffic impact studies on behalf of municipalities and property developers
- Conduct field visits and oversee data collection efforts.
- Perform conceptual roadway design for Complete Streets, multimodal safety, and other roadway improvements projects.
- Coordinate internally with planners, engineers, scientists, and related professionals.
- Participate in professional organizations.
Essential Requirements:
- 0-2 years of experience in traffic engineering and/or planning.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or transportation.
- E.I.T. Certification or Professional Engineer registration or ability to obtain such
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel; GIS and/or CAD (AutoCAD, Microstation).
- Experience with traffic analysis software (i.e. Synchro, HCS, VISSIM, etc.) a plus.
- Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
.Compensation will range from $70K to $80K, and commensurate with experience.
