Caribe Resort is looking for an Entry Level Technician to join our technical staff. An ideal candidate will be a skilled problem solver, capable of thinking outside the box and operating with minimal oversight or supervision. The right candidate will be an ambassador to explain service operations to guests, repair broken IT assets such as printers or desktop computers and can grow with the company as we tackle new challenges.
A successful candidate is a self-starter with strong communication skills as they will often be expected to explain common IT terms such as DNS or DHCP to a non-technical audience. A background in, or love for, technology with a passion to expand their knowledge will prove vital for a candidate to evolve into this position.
COMMON DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Answer incoming tickets from guests about the Television, Phone, and Internet
· Troubleshoot switching gear (Cisco)
· Troubleshoot VoIP phones
· Troubleshoot desktop computers, replace parts as required
· Troubleshoot and test fiber optic cable using an OTDR, optical power meter, fiber identifier, scope
· Mount TVs using power tools such as impact drivers, oscillating saws, screw guns
· Work flexible hours including nights and weekends
· Perform other duties as assigned

· Ability to multitask and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
Education/Experience:
· High school Diploma or GED equivalent, some college preferred
· Excellent organizational, mathematical skills, and computer skills
