Entry Level Surveillance Private Investigator

SURVEILLANCE PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR:

Seeking a person for a part-time, entry-level, on-call, Private Investigator position to assist as a surveillance investigator who will conduct investigations with worker's compensation, general liability, and domestic cases in Tri-Cities and surrounding areas within Washington State. This is an entry-level position, and no experience is required. Paid training will be provided. Please review the qualifications below.

Qualifications:

• Being able to blend in with the surrounding population or daily activity so that the individual under surveillance does not become suspicious.
• Savvy Computer skills and have Windows 10 or 11.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel software, and covert video cell phone Apps.
• Must have a reliable vehicle to use for surveillance.
• Excellent driving skills.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a current driver's license with no suspensions.
• Must pass a background check to become licensed and insured as an unarmed Private Investigator.
• Be available during certain busy holidays with the exception of Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight if needed.
• Must be capable of learning our digital video processing requirements, be skilled with a Handycam, and be able to obtain covert video if needed.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident speaker and capable of improvising or role-playing.
• Familiarity with how to utilize Google Maps.
• Must have outstanding character references.
• Must have a laptop with Microsoft word.

Compensation:

The position pays $18 an hour on site, $16.28 an hour for any travel after 1.5 hours from residence, and .30 cents a mile. The applicant cannot be hired until the application process with WA DOL is confirmed and approved. The licensing process usually takes a few weeks but no more than three.
