Job Description
- Perform routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
- Repair or replace defective parts as needed to maintain equipment functionality.
- Collaborate with production teams to address maintenance-related issues and prioritize repairs.
- Install and commission new equipment as required, ensuring proper functionality and safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the metals industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair of motors, controls, and PLCs.
- Proficiency in mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical power transmission.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
